Delft Blue

Little mouse Lin is arriving on a tall ship
from China. He is going to stay with a
friend in the old city of Delft, where Titus
lives in the attic of a famous atelier of blue
and white earthenware. Prinses Mary
Tudor has just ordered a very special vase,
a masterpiece for her new palace.
Just when Lin is performing a chinese
tea ceremony for the astonished mice,
the atelier tomcat jumps in and the still
unfinished vase falls and breaks into a
thousand pieces! Can Lin help the Delft
master? And impress the little mouse with
the pearl earring? He knows everything
about chinese porcelain...


A mouse fairytale with references to the
art of Vermeer, Carel Fabricius and other
painters from the Dutch Golden Age, and
the palace Het Loo, now renowned for its
bautiful gardens.
In cooperation with the Gemeentemuseum
Den Haag, famous for the biggest
collection of Mondrian paintings in the
world, including ?Victory Boogie Woogie?,
and owner of a beautiful collection of
antique Delftware.
